Baba Ram Rahim found guilty of Rape: Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram taken into judicial custody, Sentence on Monday– Verdict came and baba found guilty of rape accused. The court’s verdict came after 14 years. CBI’s Special Court in Panchkula, Haryana announced the verdict in the rape trial against chief of Dera Sacha Sauda. The 50-year-old Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh chief of Dera Sacha Sauda was allegedly accused of raping two sadhvis. The case is date back to 2002 when a Dera sadhvi wrote an anonymous letter to then PM. She said Dera chief raped her.

Right now Baba is in judicial custodya and he will be sentenced on Monday. The punishment could be a jail in term of not less than seven years or may be a life-time imprisonment.
Haryana’s chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar said on Friday his government was ready to deal with any fallout from the verdict.
“Whatever the verdict, will implement it. Ready to deal with any circumstances, security arrangements are in place, I appeal for peace and calm,” He added.
As On Thursday More than 2,00,000 supporters gathered for Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh at Panchkula, Haryana. Some areas of Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh and Panchkula are under a security lock down. Baba Supporters were gathered even section 144 was implemented across the Haryana and Punjab.
After the verdict Ram Rahim Followers has started to create violation in some areas of Haryana, Punjab and even New Delhi where a bus and train were set on fire. Many motorcycles, cars and an Income Tax building in Mansa in Punjab, were also set on fire. Besides this a Sewa Kendra was also set on fire near Faridkot.

Dera supporters also tried to attack on journalists and army forces.

Till the news casted 29 were dead and more than 250 people were injured in violation.

Curfew was imposed in Panchkula, Kaithal, Sirsa, Mansa, Barnal, Bathinda, Ferozepur, Sangrur, Patiala and Faridkot. But the curfew had little effect on the protesters.

As per directive schools, colleges, government offices, mobile Internet, train, bus and other transportation services has been suspended for next 72 hours. The railways said it has cancelled 6 trains on Thursday and 22 trains on Friday.

On Thursday he said. “I will be in court during the hearing. I have always respected the law of the land. Despite pain in the back, I will be present in the court and respect law and order. I have full faith in god. I appeal to everyone to maintain peace,”

The trial against Gurmeet Ram Rahim started in 2008 and on September 6, 2008, he was charged under Section 376 (assault) and Section 506 (criminal terrorizing) of the Indian Penal Code.

The Dera boss has reliably called the charges false and unmerited and has told the court that he is “not able to do” participating in physical relations.

Gurmeet Ram Rahim is likewise confronting trial in two separate murder cases – those of Dera adherent Ranjit Singh in July 2002 and of columnist Ram Chander Chattrapati in October that same year. Ranjit’s relatives guaranteed he was slaughtered for having coursed the sadhvi’s unknown letters. Chattrapati had detailed broadly on illicit exercises going ahead inside the Dera.
