Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh conviction- 36 dead and 269 injured in violence– After a day to Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh’s conviction, 36 dead and 269 injured in violence created by his followers in different areas of Hayrana and Punjab. Total Death toll in the violence climbed up to 36.

On Saturday evening Director general of police (DGP) B.S. Sandhu said a total of 36 people have died. Out of 36, 6 are in sirsa and remaining 30 are in Panchkula.

The State and central Government are now keeping an eye on every movement. Governement authorities and security forces are trying to keep the situation in control. State forces also trying to ensure there would be no such incidents happen tomorrow or on Monday. DGP also said Police and security forces are keeping a tight vigilance and on patrolling in the sensitive areas.
He will be sentenced on Monday. The punishment could be a jail in term of not less than seven years or may be a life-time imprisonment. The Central Bureau of India (CBI) special court judge will pronouncing the sentence in district jail of Sunaria, Rohtak.

The high court ordered the Haryana government to make necessary security arrangements and safe transport by air of the judicial officer at district jail in Sunaria, Rohtak. As CBI’s special court judge will pronounce Dera Sacha Sauda chief’s quantum of sentence on 28 August monday.

Suspended deputy commissioner of police, Panchkula said on Saturday that a “defective” order by him allowed the crowd to build-up in the district.
