India Vs Sri Lanka: India defeated Sri Lanka by 168 runs in 4th ODI- On Thursday night, India defeated Sri Lanka by 168 runs in fourth ODI at R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo. India had already won the series in his last match. Now Virat Kohli team is leading the series by 4-0.
India won the toss and Captain Virat Kohli decided to bat first.
Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma hit centuries in the match. Manish Pandey and MS Dhoni also done well and this lead India to scored 375/5 in the fourth ODI against Sri Lanka in Colombo. In answer host team lost his all the wickets on score of 207. India defeated Sri Lanka by 168 runs in this match. India is leading the ODI series by 4-0.
Sri Lanka had already down by 3-0 in ongoing series. But Sri Lanka team needed to win the last two games to ensure a direct berth for the 2019 World Cup. Losing the match they have broken their dream.
Virat Kohli kicked his 29th ODI century on 96 balls. He scored 131 in his inning. Rohit Sharma scored 104 on 88 balls. It was his 13th ODI century. He stroked his second century in a row, following the 124 not out in the third ODI and 54 in the second.
Kohli-Rohit made partnership of 219 runs and it was broken in 30th over if the innings. The sloppy fielding – Hardik Pandya and Dhoni were dropped –made things worse.
From Indian side most successful batsman were Virat Kohli 131 on 96 balls, Rohit Sharma 104 on 88 balls, Manish Pandey 53 on 42 balls and MS Dhoni 49 on 42 balls. And most successful baller from Sri Lankan side was Angelo Mathews 2/24 while Lasith Malinga and Vishwa Fernando taken one wicket each.
From Sri Lankan Side most successful batsman were Angelo Mathews 70 on 80 balls, Milinda Siriwardana 39 on 43 balls, Wanindu Hasaranga 22 on 22 balls and Lahiru Thirimanne 18 on 27 balls. From Indian side most successful baller was Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya and Keldeep Yadav with two wickets each. Axar Patel and Shardul Thakur has taken one wicket each
In overall match it didn’t seem that they are challenging India. They already bestowed their knees in front of a mountain like score.
