Know about India’s real-life James Bond Ajit Kumar Doval on Doklam Standoff- National Security Advisor (NSA) to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Ajit Kumar Doval is the man behind the successful outcome of India’s conflict with China over Doklam. Once again he proved himself. Earlier National Security Advisor Ajit Kumar Doval was also responsible for the successful surgical strike against the Pakistan. Ajit Kumar Doval being seen as the man responsible for Doklam Standoff.

Ajit Kumar Doval is master of his work. He has iconic figure of India’s James Bond. Doval is known for his successful operations, hawkish ideology and skills in counter-insurgency operations. He attracts sharp criticism as well as blind sycophancy.

Ajit Doval is the man PM Modi is said to trust more than anyone else not only on national security but also on foreign relations.

In case of Dokalm standoff, Doval is behind India’s stand on Doklam and his efforts defused the situation. China was aware of his Doval Doctrine and was wary of his thinking. Before he attends a BRICS meeting in China to last month, China’s state-run Global Times wrote this about him: “India’s National Security Adviser Ajit Doval is to visit China for the annual BRICS National Security Advisers’ meeting this week. Doval is believed to be one of the main schemers behind the current border standoff. Doval will inevitably be disappointed if he attempts to bargain with Beijing over the border disputes.”

Doval was not disappointed with the agencies statement but he strengthened his intension more. After a month China had to agree with India to withdraw troops from Doklam.

Why is he called India’s James Bond?

A spy does unbelievable stunts and takes strong stand on situation, risks his life for country. A spy is always ready to meet with death at any time during his operation.

His life seems as a spy. He escaped from death narrowly many a time.

He lived under cover in Pakistan for seven years. Disguised as a Pakistani Muslim, he used to make friends among the locals by visiting mosques. He does so many things which are very unusual for an officer.

A report says, He sneaked into Golden Temple right before Operation Black Thunder in 1988. He presented himself to the terrorists hiding within as an ISI spy, He gleaned information from terrorists and passed it on to the security agencies.

Ajit Kumar Doval is the 5th and current National Security Adviser to Prime Minister of India. Ajit Doval is a former Indian intelligence and law enforcement officer. Previously He had served as the Director of the Intelligence Bureau in 2004–2005. He was also served as the head of Intelligence Bureau operations wing for a decade. He has extensive experience in counter-insurgency operations in the Punjab, Paksitan and J&K and North East.

Ajit Kumar Doval is a Kerala-cadre 1968 batch IPS officer. Ajit Doval born 20 January 1945 in Ghiri Banelsyun village in Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand. His Father had served in Indian Armay.

Ajit Kumar Doval retired as Director Intelligence Bureau in January 2005. After the retirement he founded Spiritually Oriented Organisation, Vivekananda International Foundation, a think tank set up by the Vivekananda Kendra, and started working as founder director.

He was awarded the country’s second highest peacetime gallantry award, the Kirti Chakra. He became the first police officer to receive this prestigious award.

Ajit Doval Doctrine

According a report National Security Advisor Ajit Doval gave two lectures in 2014 and 2015 in which he represented his thoughts on defence and foreign policy. And afterword’s these thoughts of Doval become as the Doval Doctrine. According to Ajit Doval, an opponent can be adhibited at three levels, one is defensive, second is defensive-offensive and offensive is last. He is more in favour of defensive-offensive approach. His defensive-offensive approach can be seen in case of surgical strike against Pakistan and tough stance on militants in Myanmar last year.

According to him personal morality has no role to play in international relations. Doval thinks values of the state are more important than personal values. Ajit Doval favours a tough stance with hostile countries and terrorists. His tough stance on Pakistan is very famous as warned Pakistan it should be prepared to lose Baluchistan if it carried out another 26/11-type attack in India.
