Rajiv Pratap Rudy resigns from Modi Cabinet, several other ministers also offers to quit

Is it a new reform?….or are Cabinet ministers not happy with PM Modi?….or is it a performance and responsibility issue?

On Thursday, union council of ministers, six ministers- including Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Mahendra Pandey and Kalraj Mishra – have reportedly tendered their resignation to the BJP party Chief Amit Shah at the behest of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The ministers met Shah on Thursday and gave their resignations. General Secretary of Organisation, Shri Ram Lal, who is RSS pointsman in the BJP, was present when the resignations were submitted.

Earlier Prime Minister Modi had announced that party will assign new future roles to some ministers. In a report it was said, The Cabinet expansion and reshuffle is likely to happen on September 2 in the evening.

Rajiv Pratap Rudy has resigned from his post. As Rajiv Pratap Rudy was Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Skill Development Ministry. After resignation he wished to work for party.

Water Resources Minister Uma Bharti has offered her resignation too. She said that she resigned due to health issues with her. She has health problem since the past few months. But after resignation she wished to work for the Namami Gange project as well as to work for the BJP.

MSME Minister Kalraj Mishra has resigned from his post because the 75-year mark set for all union ministers and recently he had crossed the limit. It is expected to be made a Governor of Bihar as Ram Nath Kovind was the Governor before he became President of India last month. But there is another possibility that he would be one of Governor of other Six states that are vacant at present.

The Chandauli MP has been appointed as BJP UP unit Chief. While Minister of State for HRD Mahendra Nath Pandey has resigned from his post.

Minister of State for MSME Giriraj Singh and Minister of State for Water Resources Sanjeev Balyan have also resigned. However, there was no confirmation till going to publish.

It is expected that some more resignations are likely to be announce on Friday.

In Modi Cabinet, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley is already carrying an additional charge of Defence Minister. He has also hinted that he will not be occupying the Defence Minister post for long any more.

Before the tide of resignations of different ministers, Indian Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu has also offered his resignation to PM Modi. He had offered his resign last week after the Utkal Express derailment happened. But Prime Minister had asked him to wait for sometime.

There is also a chance that Health Minister J P Nadda can also resigned form his post as he is front-runner for the post of Himachal Pradesh CM candidate from his party. At the time is not clear if he will resign or continue till the elections in December.
