  • Indian U-15 football team has won SAFF Championships title defeated Nepal in final- The Indian U-15 football team has won SAFF Championships title defeated Nepal in finals on Sunday. SAFF U-15 Championships was held in Kathmandu. Indian team was behind by 0-1 at the interval. In next half goals from Lalrokima and Vikram made Indian team ahead in the match. Lalrokima shot his goal in 58th minutes of the game while captain Vikram goals in 74th Minute clinched the title for boys. Mr. Kushal Das, General Secretary-AIFF(All India Football Federation) said: “The AIFF Academy boys won many hearts with their splendid game. I am proud of you boys. The AIFF’s Academy programme now yielding its result. I am more confident and believe this bunch of boys will bring more laurels for the Country. Congratulations Boys!”
  • Lewis Hamilton won Belgian Grand Prix in his 200th Formula One race- Mercedes’ driver Lewis Hamilton won Belgian Grand Prix in a close gap on Sunday. He won this title for 3rd time. He equated a record of 68th pole position of Michael Schumacher as well. In a close race Lewis Hamilton leaved Feraris’ Sebastian Vettel by seven points. In a statement Lewis said it was a mistake that leads me to win. Hamilton was disgruntled when a safety car was deployed late in the race following a collision between Force India team-mates Esteban Ocon and Sergio Perez. But he stayed out in front on a second set of soft tyres with Vettel unable to catch him on ultrasofts. Hamilton trails Vettel by seven points after taking the chequered flag 2.358 seconds in front of the Ferrari driver. Feraris’ Sebastian Vettel finished as second, Red Bull’ racer Daniel Ricciardo took third place ahead of Kimi Raikkonen, Mercedes’ Valtteri Bottas finished fifth.
  • Run for life: A Marathon in Nainital turned into sprint for some athletes when dogs attacked them.
    On Sunday in Nainital 8th Nainital Monsoon Mountain Marathon was organized. Marathon run become a sprint race for some participating athletes when a group of dogs attack on them. Two athletes were failed to shift their gear and caught by some of them. Athlete’s taken anti-rabies injection those were bitten by dogs. Another athlete was attacked by a monkey during his chase. He was given first aid. Athletes Arun Adhikari and Laxman Singh were two victims of street dogs attacked. While Pramod Patni, was attacked by a monkey. A total of 580 athletes participated in the event. International athletes Abdul Najir and P Shanker flagged off a half-marathon (21-km) and three other marathons of 10-km each.
