The company has aggressively started building infrastructure for offline business. Since huge demand for its product, In Q1 of financial year 2017-2018, company targeting to provide its products available at Large format Retailer partners. Preferences given to Partner stores and Mi Home stores.
At present, Xiaomi has 12 Large Format Retailers across the 12 states of India. These stores include Ezone, PAI, Croma, Fone 4, Big C, Sangeetha, Poorvika, Lot, Vijay Sales, Univercell, MyG/3G, and Hotspot. These retail stores have a special space for Xiaomi Products. The Products at these stores are available directly from company. In an interview Mr. Manu Kumar Jain, Vice-President and Managing Director of Xiaomi India, said, in eight of these stores Xiaomi already has the best-selling status and is no.1 in terms of volume share. Besides this, Xiaomi products are also available on over 600 multi-brand retail RedMi Preferred Partner Stores across 11 cities of India. Company aims to have more than 1500 multi-brand retail Preferred partner stores by the end of 2017.
