Yuvraj Singh receives letter of praise from PM Narendra Modi- On Saturday, Indian Cricket player Yuvraj Singh has received a letter from Narendra Modi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has praised the Indian cricketer’s charity work and efforts at social services with his “YouWeCan” foundation. Yuvraj Singh shared the letter in his post on Instagram.
Yuvraj Singh Tweeted “It’s an absolute honor & privilege for all of us here at Youwecan to receive such an encouraging letter from Hon’ble Shri @narendramodi ji himself. We at @youwecan strongly believe that each one of us together can change the world and it’s not what you’ve got, its what you use that makes a difference. There is no greater reward than making someone else’s life better and making a difference in the world #youwecan #gratitude. ”
In the letter, PM Narendra Modi appreciated Yuvraj Singh’s deep passion towards social services and the rich community services rendered by him with his “YouWeCan” foundation. In letter PM said “as a noted cricketer and someone who has successfully fought cancer, several Indians derive immense inspiration from you”.
Yuvraj Singh had been awarded with Player of the Series for his amazing form in ICC World Cup 2011 tournament. He was the important and key member of the team when India won 2011 ICC World Cup. During the tournament he faced several bouts of nausea, injuries and bad health. After the tournament he came to know that he is infected by a rare form of lung cancer. With his zeal and spirit to fight, he successfully recovered from and even made a return to international cricket.
Currently Yuvraj Singh’s international future becomes a mystery now as he was dropped from the ODI series against Sri Lanka due to his poor form. It might be a sign of retirement but there is still cricket left within him. Cricket lovers still loves him a lot
